Job Description & Requirements

This role will involve; the sale of parts, new and used bikes, rentals, and guided offerings. Also involved will be to provide skills as a bike maintenance technician and to provide exceptional customer service and education for visitors about our rentals, service, local outdoor and park efficacy, and our guided trip offerings.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Maintain Zion Cycles Rental Fleet Bikes to keep them in proper working condition

• Perform preventative maintenance on Zion Cycles Rental Fleet

• Maintain customer bikes; including walk in services 

• Maintain and clean service center and shop tools

• Maintaining store aesthetic by cleaning, stocking, and organizing parts and accessories

• Diagnose issues with customer and rental fleet bikes

• Ability to work on all types of bikes; electric, road, MTB, kids, hybrid

• Ability to efficiently repair flat tires

• Set up MTBs for guided trips and customer rental

• Sales of bike parts and retail goods; sales of rentals,booking a guided trip, and create a work-order

• Being able to answer the phones and direct callers to the appropriate department

• Staying up-to-date with our brand and product knowledge, company information, sales, and local events. Truly becoming a resource to our customer base

• Work with Purchasing and Shop Manager to order parts

• Providing an outstanding shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service

• Educating customers about the experience of renting and riding into Zion National Park

• Educating customers about the different guided experiences

• Setting up and sizing people to the correct bikes for their desired riding

• Providing an outstanding shopping experience and delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a bike mechanic and/or bike retail (Pay DOE)

• Formal bike technician training a plus but not required

• A friendly and upbeat personality

• Passion for all riding styles and bike communities

• A self-starter that consistently delivers an outstanding, personalized retail experience

• Interest in gaining or expanding skills as a maintenance technician

• Eagerness to learn and be a part of the riding and guiding community

• Willingness to accept training and direction from team leads

• Proficiency with computers and POS system(s)
