Job Description & Requirements

This role will involve the management of shop staff and sales; oversight of retail products; coordinating new and used bike sales; managing rentals; oversight of fleet service.  This role will also provide direction for training as the lead customer service representative.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Direct management of shop employees; training, schedule, work production, meetings, and time clocks

  • Maintain, update and execute a training outline for all shop employees on processing a sale, interacting with and educating customers; generate a reservation and increase upsells using diverse sales techniques

  • Lead customer service specialist; provide guidance for all shop staff on customer service practices; convey customer satisfaction responses to staff

  • Oversight of rental flow within the shop; physical space organization, educational material displays, and personnel placement

  • Oversight of the main retail floor, backstock area and rental experience room 

  • Oversight of shop email and phones 

  • Responsible for oversight of ordering bikes for rentals and sales in conjunction with shop owners.

  • Participate in budgeting and ensure financials in retail, rentals, service, and showers are maintained within the budget; establish sales goals in these areas and verify staff are actively pursuing these goals; develop ambitious environment and initiate friendly competitions for lead conversions

  • Coordination between the Service Center team and General Manager as needed when in the shop

  • Participation in the shop as a leader;  champion company values, establish expectation of accountability in self and staff, foster a general attitude of motivation, positivity, and high-level customer service

  • Become the expert/specialist with our bike and service management system (Ascend)

  • Become familiar with The Flybook and the management process of resources (rental fleet/vehicles/racks/accessories); additional The Flybook systems competence including employee scheduling and department-specific reporting

  • Ability to work the floor and bring customers through a rental experience; daily participating in this process is an expectation

  • Ensure staff maintain the interior of shop, storefront, shared-use property and all equipment in an organized and clean sate

  • Guardianship of staff morale and encouraging continued individual and professional growth

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of providing top-notch customer service

  • 1+ years of product sales experience

  • 1+ years of team management
  • A friendly and welcoming personality 

  • A self-starter that consistently delivers an outstanding, personalized retail experience

  • Dedication to staff development and team formation
  • Eagerness to learn and be a part of the riding and guiding community

  • Proficiency with computers and POS system(s); fiscal responsibility to company
