The Position: Store Manager
We are searching for confident and inspiring leaders to join our team. Our Store Managers report to the General Manager and, in partnership with that role, have the responsibility to position their store as a market leader. They achieve this by directing and mentoring a team of sales and service professionals who are passionate about our product and confident in their ability to provide the absolute best shop experience in the world.
About our Store Managers:
Our retail leadership understands how their customer lives and shops, and believes the path to true happiness can be found from the saddle of a bicycle. They leverage Freewheel Bike’s product assortment and depth of inventory to provide the most complete bike shop experience possible. They create deep and meaningful connections to our customers by treating them like family and mentoring staff to feel and do the same. They understand our commitment to creating a community of cyclists that is one of inclusion and welcoming to all. They create disciples of our brand by organizing meaningful and impactful store events that reach out to their community.
Our Store Managers are involved in the development and implementation of our business plan and are responsible for modifying the plan for the changing needs of their market. They are key partners in the planning process, forecasting sales, inventory management, payroll plans and every controllable expense.
Build and maintain a staff of confident and passionate bike professionals.
Understand the operational needs of the shop as well as those of the entire enterprise.
Communicate clear expectations of performance and coach success through timely feedback.
Understand company processes and continuously seek ways to improve how business is run.
Strive to constantly improve their knowledge of all programs and systems used.
Maintain ninja level product knowledge and constantly evaluate product offering.
Be an inspiring champion for the company by being able to explain the whys behind decisions.
Be an evangelist for bicycles and our brand with every relationship you build.
We are looking for individuals with three plus years of leadership experience in customer-centric, retail environment. This person will also have a passion for working with customers on the sales floor and finds joy in selling a product they really believe makes lives better. Our Store Managers have exceptional communication skills and understand that the strength of our brand comes from their ability to grow and develop the skills of their team.
