The Position: National Sales Manager
Ansai Sportswear has been a leading manufacturer in the motorcycle and outerwear industry for the last 30 years. We have built up impressive facilities for the development and production of motor sports and other technical garments, gloves and bags. We employ 3,500 factory workers and have over 200 staff in our development team. In 2010, we will launch our new line of apparel, gloves and bags for the outdoor industry which are not only high performance and functional, but also fashionable. Now we are actively searching for a sales manager to join our experienced team. We believe we can offer a long-term opportunity to the right candidate for development within our company as we build global brands in multiple categories.
Position overview: As our sales manager you will be instrumental to our future success in the outdoor market. Candidates must have strong relationships with key outdoor retailers and/or buying groups. Other responsibilities include building and managing a sales force. In addition, your input will help influence product design and development for our line. This is a full-time position and it is preferred that candidates reside/relocate to Wisconsin, but is negotiable.
Job responsibilities:
- Sell directly to larger outdoor retailers
- Develop an outdoor retail sales plan
- Recruit, hire, manage and train outdoor retailer focused sales force
- Coordinate our participation at OR trade shows and ensure our products and services are properly displayed and marketed to show attendees
- Organize regional seminars which are a key selling tool for our prospective customers
- Develop annual sales budgets and ensure that they are met when approved
- Build strong partnerships with key customers and initiate joint marketing opportunities
- Have excellent working knowledge of our products and services after extensive training at our facilities in China
- Actively involved in product development and line finalization for each season
- Coordinate closely with marketing manager to ensure sales force is equipped with materials and information required to effectively promote our products and services
- Attend quarterly meetings and present our companys sales performance against the budget and make recommendations as required to ensure our future success
- Stay abreast of competitors products and current market situation
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years experience in the outdoor industry in sales
- Demonstrated business skills related to budgeting, training, hiring, writing, presentation and selling products/services to clients
- Capable of working for an entrepreneurial environment
- Determine goals and objectives for the sales force
- Ability to work effectively with Microsoft Office programs
- Willing to travel a good part of the time
- Valid passport for travel to China for regular meetings
