Tenaya is looking for Independent Sales Agents (100% commission based) in multiple territories (PNW, California, Mid-Atlantic, Northeast, and Midwest Sates) to help us build a network of specialty dealers within these regions. Tenaya offers a full line of climbing shoes.
Sales Agency responsibilities include presenting our unique brand story, products, and services to potential retailers & climbing gyms. To be successful in this role, our ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and be highly motivated to meet sales goals.
Ultimately, this position will help us grow our customer base and establish our reputation in your assigned region.
Responsibilities
- Act as a point of contact for existing and new potential retailers within assigned regional territory
- Identify local business opportunities and help overcome challenges
- Present our unique brand story and products to prospective retailers
- Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions
- Work closely with salespeople and other internal teams to meet individual and group sales goals
- Manage existing accounts to expand product assortment, participate in staff training, and provide excellent overall service.
- Build up brand awareness and sales through traveling, clinics, presentations, and pre-season bookings.
- Answer retailer questions about features and pricing
- Participate in outreach activities such as festivals, event expos and trade shows.
- Demo shoes at climbing gyms
Requirements and skills
- Work experience as an Independent Sales Representative
- Familiarity with climb/outdoor industry and climbing gyms preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Resilient with a proven track record in sales
- Hard-working and goal oriented
