Job Description & Requirements
Essential Functions
Apply finance and accounting acumen to support decisions and drive business performance through the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly monitoring and forecasting. Work closely with the leadership team and external resources for accounting and financial documentation and planning.
Responsibilities & Duties
Support all aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.) utilizing accounting software to facilitate process and maintain records including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation.
Oversee company borrowing facilities & financial reporting requirements.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts monthly and work with the CEO to maintain goals and communication.
Monitor budgeting & forecasting vs. plan, across company departments.
Deliver weekly reporting package for management and purchasing. Generates a monthly cash flow report and notifies management of any concerns.
Identify and understand the business challenges and propose and create solutions.
Evaluate strategic initiatives and ROI across departments. Research variances and proactively identify areas for improvement.
Assist with bank statements, taxes, corporate reporting requirements, budgeting, and monthly financial preparation. Inventory management monitoring and review.
Work closely with external accountants on bookkeeping and tax preparation.
Help manage Company’s daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly liquidity.
Oversee Financial Planning and Purchasing employee.
Communication
Work closely with the CEO, COO and leadership team to establish rigorous financial updates and reporting on the financial health of the business
Work with outside accounting, tax preparation and lending vendors.
Ideal Experience
Bachelor's degree with 4-5 years experience in finance, accounting or related areas.
Proven experience developing financial reports and metrics.
Knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of all accounting areas (accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and payroll).
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing environment.
Superior attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture .
Demonstrated ability to drive projects across the organization.
High level excel and financial reporting skills.
Prior leadership or management experience preferred.
