Job Description & Requirements
Representative will be responsible for developing and servicing ASSOS’ network
of premium bicycle dealers throughout the Northeastern United States, focusing
on New York. The Sales Representative will be a passionate evangelist for the
ASSOS brand and promote our products to retail employees and end consumers.
He/she will travel within our key markets, visiting our existing retailer
partners to improve how we serve our end consumers and potential new retail
partners who align with our premium positioning. The Sales Representative will
be passionate about cycling and have a powerful desire to establish a career in
the cycling industry.
The Sales Representative can be based anywhere in the eastern United States but will require significant (c. 75%) travel. It will also require occasional travel to ASSOS headquarters in Ticino, Switzerland.
This role will report to the North American Sales Director based in Salt Lake City, UT.
. Travel throughout sales region, visiting bicycle dealers to service accounts
. Drive sales of ASSOS by increasing revenue per door and opening new doors
. Promote the ASSOS brand and its lineup of exceptional cycling apparel
. Assist the North American Sales Director in the development of marketing and distribution strategies that can reach the target region’s revenue, profitability, and market share objectives
. Provide customer-level sales data, performance against KPIs, and market insight
. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop, deliver, and evaluate marketing programs
. Participate in or lead marketing events such as group rides or shop events
. Provide consumer and dealer feedback to product design and development teams at ASSOS HQ to assist with ASSOS’ never-ending quest to develop the world’s highest-performing cycling apparel
. Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
. 2+ years of relevant experience in the cycling industry, particularly with working with IBDs
. 2+ years of relevant sales experience with proven results in a highly competitive environment
. Knowledge of the Northeastern bicycle dealer network
. Accomplished road cyclist with confidence to lead group rides
. Experience working with global brands and premium brands
. Demonstrated track record of working with multiple stakeholders in a team environment in a highly collaborative manner
