While Ombraz solve many of the inherent issues we’ve all experienced with eyewear - we’ve got zero interest in shipping plastic around the world without delivering a substantial net-benefit environmental impact. ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for an entrepreneurial, organized, A-player who embodies the Ombraz brand to help explode our untapped potential. The marketing manager will play a monumental role in executing Ombraz’ brand strategy. With unlimited growth potential, you’ll work alongside the founders to mastermind marketing initiatives and forge long-term partnerships with leading brands - augmenting a small, nimble team poised to make Ombraz the household name of armless sunglasses. You are results-oriented, impressively creative, a great storyteller and a skilled planner who understands the e-commerce ecosystem and consumer journey.

Amplifying brand reach is the name of the game. You’ll be expected to navigate a rapidly evolving social media environment, launch new channels, flex your creative brain daily, write and communicate well, and leverage technology to organize and scale our efforts.

Requirements

It bodes well if you have:

  • An obsession with your Ombraz
  • 20+ years of unwavering tenacity, optimism, and rambunctiousness
  • 20+ years of utter disregard for normalcy
  • 5+ years of experience in e-commerce
  • 5+ years of experience in non-paid digital marketing (email, sms, etc.)
  • 3+ years experience of content curation (ability to distinguish what is stellar content and what is not) and management
  • An affinity for word-play
  • 3+ years experience with Lightroom/photo editing or video editing
  • Ability to write unique, engaging copy & communicate the Ombraz voice effectively
  • An in-depth understanding of what it takes to succeed on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media channels.
  • Experience creating a marketing calendar, developing & executing marketing plans
  • Experience organizing & executing marketing campaigns with multiple parties
  • An acutely organized work routine
  • Capacity to effectively communicate brand goals and vision to partners
  • Hyper-awareness of current events and local/global issues. Ability to navigate & leverage them effectively into brand communications.
  • Experience A/B testing, tracking & optimizing

  1. BRAND AWARENESS
    • Develop, implement & drive a robust brand awareness strategy alongside the founders and other members of the team. Cohesively integrate the strategy into all marketing efforts
    • Maximize brand awareness while maintaining ROI
  2. MARKETING CALENDAR
    • Develop, implement & own a marketing calendar to plan, track & visualize campaigns, activations, launches & programs
  3. SOCIAL MEDIA - ORGANIC
    • Instagram
      • Strategy - develop a concrete strategy for growing @Ombraz with zero compromise of creativity and aesthetics
      • Execute relevant, on-brand daily posts & stories
      • Define & develop a product seeding strategy
      • Perform strategic review & reset goals quarterly
    • TikTok
      • Evaluate the opportunity
      • If deemed part of core marketing strategy, develop a concrete strategy for starting & growing @Ombraz TikTok
      • Develop, implement & manage @Ombraz TikTok
    • YouTube
      • Evaluate opportunity

  4. MARKETING PARTNERSHIPS
    • Evaluate & organize existing marketing partnerships by opportunity
      • Create a system to manage existing brand relationships
      • Align marketing efforts with relevant brands
    • Develop & execute new partnership strategy
    • Perform strategic review & reset goals every 6 months
  5. PR
    • Manage relationship with PR firm
    • Communicate marketing goals, relevant dates, content releases & timelines to PR firm
    • Focus on SEO & strategic discoverability in line with broader marketing goals
  6. AUTOMATED MARKETING
    • Email Marketing
      • Evolve email marketing strategy
      • Manage & optimize existing flows
      • Coordinate, mastermind & implement design improvement & graphic development with the Ombraz creative team
      • Perform strategic review & reset goals every 9 months
    • Text Message Marketing
      • Define & develop SMS marketing strategy
      • Manage & optimize existing campaigns
      • Coordinate & implement design improvement & graphic development with the Ombraz creative team
      • Perform strategic review & reset goals every 12 months
  7. WEBSITE MANAGEMENT - Shopify
    • Ensure Ombraz.com & Shopify is always ship-shape and bug-free
    • A/B testing implementation & planning
    • Heatmaps/tracking
    • Google analytics
    • Communicate website enhancements to web developer
  8. CONTENT ORGANIZATION & MANAGEMENT
    • Make sure ad manager always has the content and copy they need
    • Communicate content needs to video editors & product designers
    • Manage content
      • Organize existing content into a useable library
      • Leverage user-generated content for marketing efforts
  9. ORGANIZATIONAL
    • Find solutions to integrate management and organizational strategies
    • Document every tool, processes, how-to info in Slab
    • Develop, implement & manage an analytics dashboard to track KPI's, set goals & manage your business.
