Do you thrive on making someone's bike work flawlessly so that when they take it out for a spin on the road or trail they leave a raving review about their ride and the service performed on their bike? If so, then Papa Wheelie's Bicycles wants you!
We are seeking a Cycling Education Expert to be a bicycle mechanic. The duties of a mechanic will include, but are not limited to:
- Perform scheduled repairs in an efficient and timely manner
- Keep a clean and organized work area
- Talk with customers and educate them on the importance of bicycle repair and maintenance

- Willing to communicate openly with all team members
- Willing to cheerfully accept criticism and learn from it
- Willing to maintain a clean and groomed appearance at the workplace and while representing the company
- 1+ years bicycle industry experience as a full-time mechanic (must be able to provide reference for this).
- 1+ years retail experience
- Experienced and comfortable running a computer and learning new programs.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Flexible schedule for early morning and/or late evening hours

Papa Wheelie's Bicycles is a small but busy bike shop on the beautiful Western Slope of Colorado. We take pride in being the Western Slope's hub for cycling education and ispiration. We are advocates of the Trek Bicycles brand, and we mostly carry their products. Mountain, road, comfort, and cruiser bikes are the categories we stock. Pedal assist bikes in each of these categories is also a growing segment for us.
For those that love to ride, there are many miles of gravel and paved roads with plenty of climbing if you like. Within 30 minutes of the shop, there is numerous miles of singletrack from easy to advanced. In the winter, you can ride groomed fatbike terrain in the morning and take a road ride on dry roads in the afternoon.
