Job Description
The Position: Representative, Inside Sales

National Geographic Map’s Division is looking for an Inside Sales Representative (Job ID # 5221) to primarily be responsibility for the outbound sales activity via telephone and e-mail correspondence. Requires contacting an agreed upon number of existing accounts, dormant accounts, and potential new accounts on a regular basis. Serves as primary sales contact for all house accounts. Performance is primarily measured on the ability to achieve or surpass defined sales targets, including specific monthly and quarterly goals.  Develops sales leads via original research and acquisition of lists for their own sales activities and for those of the NG Maps Sales Managers. Becomes the knowledge base expert in the Salesforce CRM environment and ensures integration with other NG Maps systems and processes.Works closely with the Finance department to maintain accurate sales and account data, and distributes to Sales Managers on a regular basis. Ensures that sales and account information retained in the Salesforce CRM is accurate and up-to-date. Maintains and generates Salesforce reports, dashboards, and tools. Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years experience in a sales and/or marketing position and/or experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired. Experience in selling to wholesale accounts via telephone and e-mail.  Self-motivated and comfortable accepting responsibility for achieving defined sales targets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills both, oral and written. Ability to develop lead lists by conducting original research (primarily internet-based). Proficiency with MS Office including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Gmail.  Working knowledge of web-based database tools and utilities such as Salesforce CRM. Additional skills that are desireable but not required: Data integration skills, knowledge of HTML, basic web site management experience. Strong interest in geography with experience using maps and navigational aids.
