Job Description:
Backwoods is excited to announce that we are opening a fly fishing department within our Tulsa store in 2013! We are talking to candidates interested in becoming a full time Fly Fishing Department Manager to both help us set this department up and begin to cultivate the fly fishing market in Tulsa. We are looking for the necessary combination of an energetic individual who has proven retail management as well as an in depth knowledge of fly fishing. This includes a thorough understanding of fly fishing vocabulary, ability to teach on-going fly tying classes and present casting clinics and schools, multiple participants and one on one lesson. These qualities of expertise and education span both our consumer base and store staff.
Candidates should have:
· Minimum 3 years retail management experience
· Proven people skills and the ability to motivate and lead staff a must.
· Ability to read and interpret sales and sell through reports
· Proven record of community outreach
