The Position: SmartWool Designer - Apparel and Accessories
Location: Boulder, CO. The SmartWool (SW) Designer: incorporates the SW brand vision, seasonal design themes, and product line direction to design commercially compelling apparel and constructed accesssories that achieve both brand and quantitative goals. Responsibilities: Create seasonally allocated design in apparel, cut, and sew accessories and trim. Highly experiences in sweater knit/knit jacquard and cut and sew.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in design, textile, or related apparel area preferred. 3+ year experience with soft goods with strong skill set in sweater knit/knit jacquard and cut and sew. Knowledgeable in all areas of the development process including merchandising, design, sourcing, and product development. 3+ years apparel/textile/knit design experience; High level of proficienty in Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft office applications; Effective written, visual, and oral communications skills.
